  • Eleventy vs Next.js
    7 projects | | 28 Nov 2022
Backed by Vercel, the stated aim for Next.js is to bring the power of full-stack to the frontend. With recent developments including new Rust-based tooling for transpilation and minification, and the incremental bundler and build system Turbopack replacing Webpack, Next.js looks set to remain a powerhouse for users who want the full gamut of development options available to them.

  • 🔒 Next Auth vs SST Auth
    6 projects | | 21 Nov 2022
Regarding NextAuth.js, you will have to deploy a Next.js application. The short path here is to deploy your application on Vercel, the creators of Next.js. It comes with a pretty generous free tier, and it works out-of-the-box: automatic deployments with GitHub, preview deployments, etc... But a Next.js application can be also deployed in many other providers. For your own managed Node server to serverless deployment, it's up to you to choose the right one! See the complete list on Next.js documentation page.
  • Portfolio webapp
    3 projects | | 19 Nov 2022
Hello everyone. I just completed my portfolio webapp. I have an older version of it and I believe I posted about that almost a year ago. This one is a newer version and has more content than the previous one. The URL is Notice it supports 2 languages. Front end if built with Next.js with static site generation and the API where it gets the data from is Node.js (Strapi Headless CMS). I use Vercel to deploy my Next.js and Railway to deploy Strapi backend and it's database which is based on Postgres. Railway has a free tier with €5 free credit every month. I really recommend it for my fellow devs who left Heroku since the Free Tier does no longer exist.

As the Umami is made using NextJS, it will be a better option to host it on vercel. So, we are going to host the umami web app on vercel. Navigate to, after registering/login then click on Add new… then Project. In the Import Git Repository page, click on the option where you have pushed the code. Then it might ask you for permission to access the repository, provide that. After this, you will have your repository, select the one where you have pushed the code.
