I created a script to generated DTM (Digital Terrain Model) from DSM (Digital Surface Model). Github repo in comments.
Indeed it works. I din't even had to change any parameters. Almost identical to groundtruth DTM (Lidar derived). Here is the link - https://github.com/seedlit/dsm2dtm/blob/main/results/example2_dsm2dtm_hillside.png
