The Reddit blackout has left Google barren and full of holes – TechRadar
Take a look at FlaskBB, it's kind of like those but modern and written in Python.
Also it needs devs.

FlaskBB is pretty good, although it needs a little bit of work to make it easily packageable.

I was looking into actively maintained Rust based forum software similar to NodeBB (Node.js) or Discourse (Ruby on Rails) and Flaskbb (Python).

Pytest github example (request)
Here’s a well structured, but still simple app with a nice tests layout. Here’s a forum software using Flask that’s more mature. This GitHub links have a lot of examples, from boilerplates to established open source projects.

Lemmy is like Reddit and here because it has threaded comment discussions.
It's also federated, so you can pick a server you like and have discussions with users from various servers together.
https://join-lemmy.org/
Some Reddit apps switched to supporting Lemmy instead when they were kicked off the API.

- Recap, An-Cap and getting sick of reddit
- Join us over at Lemmy! It's FOSS, decentralized, and fairly solid!

Show HN: AI News – Dedicated news site for AI developers
The entire page is based on Lemmy (https://join-lemmy.org/).
I disabled a ton of features and interface parts, as IMO the original lemmy interface is super noisy.
Runs on bare-metal with docker-compose. For the facelift, just good old CSS :)
