Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Flask-Mail shouldn't be used ( at least right now )
My only gripes with the project is that it hasn't seen an update since 2014 ( according to https://github.com/mattupstate/flask-mail ) and the issues don't seem to get addressed by the maintainers. I've brought this up to a few people, and felt it wasn't long enough for an in-depth blog post on my site.

I'm working on a web app that will send users emails sometimes. Any related packages you recommend for this?
Not Flask-Mail, seeing as it hasn't had an update in over 6 years. ( https://github.com/mattupstate/flask-mail says November 4th, 2014 as the last commit. )

Portable Django
Author here. In 2007 when Django was starting to get popular there was a website called instantdjango.com where you could go and download a zip that would let you run Django and Python on Windows, with everything configured nicely.
I only used that version because it is the official one supported by cosmopolitan, but it is also possible to use newer versions with the same approach, for example Python 3.11 and Django 4: https://github.com/ahgamut/cpython/tree/cosmo-djngo (Website has been updated to point at that one).
What are some alternatives?
