Users are complaining that the latest Firefox for iOS update has removed the "Dark mode" option from the menu:[1]

> I suffer from Diabetic Retinopathy and hence photophobia. To me, this removal is an Accessability issue.

A forum moderator who's in touch with the developers said days ago that this is an experiment affecting half of the userbase:[2]

However, Mozilla's iOS team manager doesn't know about this huge experiment and think it is a bug:[3]

Yeah, Orion's support for Firefox extensions is a big red flag. These 2 issues on the Firefox-iOS tracker[0,1] around extensions and content blockers have long mentioned Orion, but there's no response from Mozilla.

When you use Reader View, Firefox parses the text of the webpage and loads it as a local page. It isn't supposed to show a red slash, though. For Android, I use Iceraven, a Firefox fork built with Firefox stable's code that adds more options, features, customizations, and extensions than Firefox for Android has. So I won't have to switch from that even when the Chromium based browsers potentially all adopt Mv3 fully and drop Mv2, because I've already got a browser on that platform which hopefully will be immune that I'm already using not because of what may happen in the future, but because it's my favorite browser.

Iceraven has an extension available called "Video Background Play Fix" that does what you describe.

It should be noted that Iceraven is not compiled from source, ie. it only compiles the UI/app layer, and not the engine or other components.

Kiwi Browser and Ungoogled Chromium for Android support chrome extensions on mobile. Firefox supports some extensions. Firefox Nightly (warning, unstable) supports even more. Firefox forks like Iceraven, Fennec, and Mull also support extensions. All of these guys support uBlock Origin.
