Difference between TsED and NestJS?
I have been using TsED for a year now and I can say that so far I have not had any problems. It is very comfortable to work with this mini-framework. In addition, the creator provides very fast support and is happy to help with any problems. A few months ago I created a REST API template with hexagonal architecture using TsED.

Production-ready template for back ends created with Node.js, TS and Express
https://github.com/borjapazr/express-typescript-skeleton
As I say in the README of the project:
This is an opinionated template. The architecture of the code base and the configuration of the different tools used has been based on best practices and personal preferences.
This template does not pretend to have the magic solution to all the problems that a developer may face when creating a REST API using Node.js. This is my contribution, after spending some time on it, to the community. It is an opinionated codebase created based on personal preferences, but also based on the application of best practices.
All criticisms and opinions are welcome, indeed I am very grateful for them. Based on them this could evolve, adapt and become something better. I am sure it will bring something to someone at some point, because even from the worst things something can be learned.
Many thanks to all of you who have taken the time to look at the project.

Should you use jest as a testing library?
For example, Fastify removed the instanceof operatorfrom its codebase because it was causing problems for those developers that rely on jest as a testing framework.
- Is this a valid reason to give up node?

Next JS vs Nest JS
Both are frameworks but NextJs is for Forntend (web app in browser that use ReactJs under the hood) and NestJs is for Backend (server app running on a server witch use Express or Fastify). The only thing similar between them is the typed language in which they were written.

Building a modern gRPC-powered microservice using Node.js, Typescript, and Connect
In setting out to build this service, we wanted to use gRPC for its APIs. We’ve been reaching for REST when building APIs so far, primarily out of necessity, i.e., our public APIs needed auto-generated client SDKs and docs for developers working with them. We built those APIs with Fastify and Typebox but felt burned by a code-first approach to generating an OpenAPI spec. I’ll spare you the details and save that experience/learning for another article. Suffice it to say we love gRPC’s schema-first approach. This blog post summarizes our feelings well
