ethminer VS stratum-ping

Most miners set up their miners in windows or in this HiveOS. When I started I was able to setup a miner called ethminer on ubuntu, however this miner is open, it does not take fees, but at the same time is not well optimized and other miners do better jobs at the cost of paying fees for using it.

I discovered ethminer that time and was happy to see great example of collaboration in crypto dev community, it was outdated for newest CUDA, so I found nsfminer, that's the fork updated by one of previous contributors. It has no DEV fee and based on original ethminer, so I pretty much trust the code, even if it has no maintenance since mid of 2021.

I looked at the hashrates of two of the largest PoW coins, ETC and RVN on 2miners.com. Looks not that bad, about 50% down from peak after the merge. Indeed a lot of miners had to give up in the long run, which means they were not able to run their farms in profit.

there is no point in solo mining with your gpu... yes, there is a small chance to hit a block of some POW coin, but it is possible (like in any real lottery) that you will need years and possibly your gpu will die before it hits a block... to your real question... check out https://2miners.com/ there is a SOLO pool section with instructions and software you have to use to mine on a pool

Go look at 2miners.com and whattomine. Since post-merge, ETC hashrate jumped by 200 TH/s. RVN hashrate jumped by 15 TH/s. Whattomine should show you it is more profitable to mine RVN coin than ETC if you use GPU - though both are at a loss.
