Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

ESP32-CAM with OV5647
Espressif's esp-cam library explicitly supports the OV5640 but doesn't mention the OV5647. I believe the OV5647 uses the same connector but from what I've read elsewhere it program slightly different from the OV5640, so it's not likely that an OV5640 driver will work with it.

Has anyone worked with T-Camera S3 from Lilygo? Can I ask fro help with regards to pin assignment and working with espressif/esp32-camera?

When interfacing with cameras with esp idf, is using esp32-camera the best way?
I am working on the with esp32-camera to support the camera I am using. I was wondering if I had to use a camera not supported by this library. How can I go about it? Does this mean that the only camera sensors available for esp32 are the ones in the library?

broken esp32-cam module
https://github.com/espressif/esp32-camera/issues/330 I guess the camera is faulty

Does anyone know of a high quality camera to attach to an esp32 module?
If you look at the esp32 camera driver github it lists the supported camera's.

Hey all! ESP32 beginner here, looking for a little advice
It uses toit, a high-level language, and is thus quite easy to learn. At the same time it's an order of magnitude faster than micropython.

Rust on Espressif chips – 2023 Roadmap
I also really like MicroPython! Having said that, I have been working on an alternative to it for a number of years now -- primarily to provide a more robust and performant high-level alternative to C and Rust on the ESP32-family of chips:

I'd love to pick your brain and fully understand your experience with MicroPython. I've been doing programming languages for a number of years now, and I find that it is incredibly useful to understand what developers appreciate (and dislike) about the available stacks.

ESP32 Buyer’s Guide: Different Chips, Firmware, Sensors
Thank you for the mention!
I have been working on the Toit language for the ESP32 for a number of years now -- and it has been an enjoyable challenge to build an open source stack capable of supporting live reloading on a micro-controller that can run for years on batteries.
