How to add entry to history file when executing from script?
It's in the repo i linked to upthread; in particular, please refer to this file at this commit, with the four instances of cat ${SPINE} | replaced with <${SPINE}[a].

Any Neurodivergent people interested in popularized internet standards and "open source" software("floss")?
In my own case, although i'm not active on any microblogging platform, i am a FOSS dev and, er, 'documenter', and i recently read up a bit on the EPUB standards to put together a guide and shell script for creating a minimal EPUB.

How to reload .profile without logging out?
Last year i encountered a problem caused by LVM's build system relying on a bashism. And i recently release a simple shell script for creating EPUBs, which tries to avoid using non-POSIX functionality so that it's more likely to be usable on different systems/platforms.

Reading newer epub ebooks with nov.el / shr rendering removes whitespace
i can reproduce this on my system, using my epub-create script i released just the other day. :-)

How Do I Force 'here doc' Strings In Ruby Files To Actually Be Indented Properly In Emacs?
In the context of the Ruby snippet you shared, the indentation doesn't matter for what the code is doing, but in other contexts, the indentation *can( matter. For example, i recently wrote a shell script to create a minimal EPUB, which uses heredocs to create XML and XHTML files. If Emacs indented the 'headers' and 'footers' according to their position in the code structure, their indentation in the resulting files would be misleading (even though this wouldn't affect the validity of the markup).

Back when I used a debian based distribution I made use of https://bedrocklinux.org/ to make use of the AUR. It's not for everyone though.

Statically built Nix on Alpine Linux #6751 (2022)
Now this is interesting... apparently it is possible to run Nix AKA "The Nix Package Manager" on Alpine -- despite the fact that Alpine is Busybox and Musl based and NixOS is Coreutils and Glibc based!
Well done Nix engineers and contributors!
(I may switch to Alpine w/Nix Package Manager in the future, depending on how well it works!)

What are some of the more innovative linux distributions?
Bedrock Linux. It is allows you to make a system out of various seemingly-incompatible parts of other distros. I haven't gotten around to trying it myself, but it's really cool.

Seamlessly run other Linux distributions inside your terminal
If you want to actually use multiple distributions at once integrated tightly into each other (like using Ubuntu with AUR packages) I highly recommend https://bedrocklinux.org/. It uses some chroot and symbolic link magic to share files across filesystems.
What are some alternatives?
poly-ruby.el - Provides poly-ruby-mode for Emacs
distrobox - Use any linux distribution inside your terminal. Enable both backward and forward compatibility with software and freedom to use whatever distribution you’re more comfortable with. Mirror available at: https://gitlab.com/89luca89/distrobox
