Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Is WAX's finality deterministic or probabilistic?
Yeah good rule on the internet when someone says they you know something, three fingers are pointing back. You clearly do know. I haven't looked at it lately, but it's my understanding generally the BPs can do things like freeze EOS of a scammer. I'm sure someone in the EOS community discord could explain better. Glancing over the [contracts](https://github.com/EOSIO/eosio.contracts/tree/master/contracts/eosio.system/src) i'd imagine they could do things like set inflation. They have use their powers to sign specific actions in a multisig I believe, or I suppose support 2/3+1 microfork with a different WASM but that's another infeasible thought in my head.

Can someone explain to me what an action is in real terms.

Token holders on #EOS are miners, receiving fees thanks to #PowerUpModel
" In light of this situation, we’re proposing a potential change to the way the current REX system operates that would establish a resource rental market. Under the new proposed system, a user will pay a resource rental fee via a smart contract to be granted 24 hours worth of CPU/NET from the total supply. After 24 hours, the rental must be renewed and pricing is automatically adjusted using a market based mechanism, based on changes in supply and demand for CPU/NET resources. "

How will the price for resources be determined under EOS’ new PowerUp Model?

A1 Programming Language now open-source
The A1 Programming Language, a new pythonic smart contract programming language, is now open source here: https://github.com/Adamnite/A1
- Pythonic smart contracts programming language
What are some alternatives?
ascee - C++ implementation of the Argennon smart contract execution environment (AscEE)
tovie - An Stack Based Programming Language (Compiler + VM)
whitepaper - WAX Protocol White Paper
Ark - ArkScript is a small, fast, functional and scripting language for C++ projects
syscoin - Syscoin is a crypto currency that is universally merge-mineable with a dual chain architecture both UTXO and EVM. The UTXO chain offers a data availability layer (Proof-Of-Data Availability) to offer censorship resistance for a rollup-driven roadmap.
solidity - Solidity, the Smart Contract Programming Language
Chunguscoin - Chunguscoin is a meme based, opensource, decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency with a multipurpose design.
newlang - A programming language with a simple no-keyword syntax for computing tensors and rational numbers with unlimited precision
carbon-lang - Carbon Language's main repository: documents, design, implementation, and related tools. (NOTE: Carbon Language is experimental; see README)
