eos VS streamlit

Now that I'm getting started, I see that the [eos github repo](https://github.com/EOSIO/eos) is labeled as a public archive. What is the meaning behind this? Is the project no longer maintained? Is the codebase now somewhere else? This doesn't exactly inspire confidence as a new developer.

First up, you need to use more than just the master branch, which is appears is what you're doing. Developers use repositories in different ways (unfortunately) and this makes it hard to benchmark. You said there was 0% retention of developers and no activity, and as an example of how that number is inaccurate I'd point you to heifner's profile on github. You can see within the last few days he's both created code, issues, and been managing pull requests. Scroll back to 2019 and you'll find him contributing to the core codebase. If you continue to look through the top contributors on the eosio/eos repo you'll continue to find more of the top developers are actually active and developing on the project.

You're not interpreting the commit history correctly because you're not looking at all of it. See here: https://github.com/EOSIO/eos/branches

Compare that to EOS. They havent had much updates for the past 2 months here.

B1 left the (token = mainnet) community, and there probably never was a big developer community beside B1 and the block producers which tried to push the mainnet repo forward. Development happens at EOSIO but this is not the mainnet and not the token!

Having the same issue, any luck fixing? Otherwise talking to devs or waiting for a fix seems to be the only ways to get it working. I decided to use Streamlit to build the UI as it is a popular and fitting choice. Streamlit is an open-source Python library used for building interactive web applications specially for AI and data applications. Since the application code is written only in Python, it is easy to learn and build with.

Does it need to be live (i.e when database or underlying spreadsheet updates does it need to be reflected in real time on the dashboard) or are you ok with static display.

Live updating data is a pain I've messed around using javascript to force refresh html iframes on a timer. But I was never really satisfied with this. I've heard you can do things with websockets but that is starting to get too complicated for me (I'm not a programmer).

For static stuff one of the data scientists in my org pointed me to Streamlit (https://streamlit.io/) it's a python package I found very easy to use. Can easily combine SQL with CSV imports and display them all on one dashboard. Can use forms toggle butotns etc to control the display.

Note that there are many tools that make this easier/simpler to prototype, including chainlit, streamlit, etc… The backend API we built is amenable to interacting with them as well.

Have you ever seen the https://streamlit.io/ ? I think this is what you are looking for.

While building dashboards in Streamlit, I found myself really missing Buefy's (Bulma) modern web components.

Specially due to the inability to add new values to Streamlit's multiselect [1], some missing controls like a polished image carousel [2] or a highly customizable data table.

Long story short, we put together streamfy (Streamlit + Buefy) as an MIT licensed project in GitHub to bring Buefy to Streamlit.

All the form components are implemented, missing half of other non-form UX components. There is plenty of room for PRs, testing, feedback, documentation, example, etc.
