Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (June 2023)
Hi! I'm Liam, going into UBC Sciences next year, and looking for a programming related internship/mentorship/job. I'm a snowboard instructor during the winter season, so I have some work experience. I've been programming for 7 years, but have never worked professionally in the field, mostly working on personal projects.
My most recent project is a database of electron orbital probability distribution renders done in Python and Matplotlib: https://liam-ilan.github.io/electron-orbitals/

Implementing robust in-memory cache with Go
If serialization is not a problem fastcache is the best for its outstanding memory usage.
What are some alternatives?
buckaroo - Buckaroo - the data wrangling assistant for pandas. Quickly explore dataframes, and run pandas commands via a GUI. Works inside the jupyter notebook.
BigCache - Efficient cache for gigabytes of data written in Go.
temporary - temporaryrepo
go-cache - An in-memory key:value store/cache (similar to Memcached) library for Go, suitable for single-machine applications.
docs
groupcache - groupcache is a caching and cache-filling library, intended as a replacement for memcached in many cases.
matching_engine - A simple financial trading matching engine. Built to learn more about how they work.
buntdb - BuntDB is an embeddable, in-memory key/value database for Go with custom indexing and geospatial support
flib - A set of experimental extensions to the go standard library
