Work with hetzner auction server having a single ip
Only allow tailscale traffic and cloudflare (you can install ufw and use the script here for cloudflare https://github.com/Paul-Reed/cloudflare-ufw )

Self hosting for the first time.
On the server itself, I've installed UFW (Software firewall for linux). After installing it, I added a rule to only accept traffic on port 22 (ssh port) from local machines (192.168.1.0/24). Then I added a rule to only accept traffic on port 443 from cloudflare servers. I then generated myself some ssl certs for a new domain that I purchased. I then setup nginx to listen on port 443 for the domain that I bought using the certificates.

Cloudflare Tunnels + UFW?
Is cloudflare-ufw (https://github.com/Paul-Reed/cloudflare-ufw) compatible when using Cloudflare Tunnels?
-
Cloudflare Reverse Proxy - Unsure about which IPs to allow on my home servers firewall
Instead you should restrict access to your server to their IPs yourself, perhaps using something like cloudflare-ufw.
-
Open port 443 only for specific ip's
And this script running in a cron job updates cloudflare ip's once per week:https://github.com/Paul-Reed/cloudflare-ufw
