On a sidenote the solution isn't far and maybe one of the lutris dev's read this post -> including https://github.com/rcpoison/dxvk-cache-pool might enable the same feature as on steam.

How's Linux 5.16 going on?
Yeah they do, but https://github.com/zfigura/wine/tree/fsync isn't useful as that's the one old original fsync patch still used that's not working anymore.

How can I disable esync in Lutris?
One of the games I'm playing through Lutris crashes frequently, and I've narrowed its cause down to a feature in wine called esync.

Read https://github.com/zfigura/wine/blob/esync/README.esync ! Btw another component specially adviced for older Proton versions. Let's say it's distribution dependend where you need configure it. "On distributions using systemd, the settings in /etc/security/limits.conf will be overridden by systemd's own settings.".
