On a sidenote the solution isn't far and maybe one of the lutris dev's read this post -> including https://github.com/rcpoison/dxvk-cache-pool might enable the same feature as on steam.
For his usecase i would even consider using https://github.com/Sporif/dxvk-async << big big big warning this patch should only ever used for single player games (hence why it is not included in dxvk) and why it's not an easy to use one click solution anywhere.

So by default if anything inside of the proton process try to access /usr it just can't. This broke manguhud / broke vkbasalt.
