Hardware Vulkan render on Mac is working!
So no more need to reboot and this is awesome, but why install another app when Retroarch is so convenient? It is so cool to have all old games in one place, and it even has Duckstation core. Seems like the build of Libretro core just doesn't include this branch which is essential for Vulcan on Mac to run.

list of your preferred core to use for each system on retroarch?
Before I knew this, I informed myself on the documentation for each core: https://docs.libretro.com/library/mesen-s/ But the description is more informative for quick overview. The description is from the .info files, in example in https://github.com/libretro/libretro-super/blob/master/dist/info/mesen-s_libretro.info on the bottom line that starts with description =

Save/load state options missing from Quick Menu on Vita
Are you missing your core info files? The core info files tell Retroarch which cores support save states. You can download them from the Online Updater or download them manually and put them in the correct directory. To check which directory they go into check:

New retroarch core for SNES - ChimeraSNES
The source is available here: https://github.com/jamsilva/chimerasnes. I made a merge request to libretro-super so that the core can be automatically built (https://github.com/libretro/libretro-super/pull/1701) but it's probably not going to be available until the next release of RetroArch.
- I can’t start PS2 Games on my working PS2 Core/ Retroarch doesn’t recognize it as a PS2 Core

Retroarch doesn't load any cores after re-injection
It might be somewhere here or in libretro-super.

[OnionOS] [Retroarch] Update MSX core to support save states?
In any case I grabbed todays 'nightly' build from here and updated the core info file from here. The nightly core runs fine on the Mini but while the options for save states do appear in Retroarch, they do not function (saving or loading a state results in an onscreen message that states are not supported).

PCSX2 Crashes when trying to run (Retroarch Steam Release)
PCSX2 can't load .cue file, it should be removed from the compatible extensions, I even proposed a fix a while ago so that core doesn't appear anymore when selecting a .cue: https://github.com/libretro/libretro-super/pull/1569
