My open source notification Android app and server is now a UnifiedPush distributor, and can be used to send images and other files to your phone. You can also publish via e-mail, or notify yourself via e-mail. And thanks to open source, it now consumes only about 1% of battery for the entire day.
When I found out that I had picked the same name, i opened a pull request to integrate the two projects: https://github.com/dschep/ntfy/pull/234

Anyway (aside email) to get NAS notifications to show up on my Macbook?
Or you can get notifications with a python program like ntfy.

Show HN: A tool to send push notifications to your phone, written in Go
Sadly no. I picked the name and bought the domain before I found out about it. When I found out I created a PR [1] to integrate the two. It's not been merged though.
Given that I bought the domain and all that I'm kinda sticking with the name though.

Can Clickup notify me when I have tracked 8 hours for the day?
Run a target for https://github.com/dschep/ntfy (Not sure anyone has made a target for this on meltano yet so this may take a little python work), to send a notification to whatever system you want (email, slack, teams, etc etc)
- I made ntfy.sh, a simple HTTP-based pub-sub that let's you PUT/POST notifications to your phone or desktop

What's your preferred shell & why?
To solve the ssh problem thereโs xxh which scpโs a portable shell of your choosing before starting an interactive session with it on the server.

A tactical meme to ask you if there is a terminal emulator that works like a text editor and has universal shortcuts
There are various features that make the terminal experience feel more modern. Unlike your meme replies, BASH does support jumping across words with CTRL+Arrow Keys. For remote hosts, you can try xxh. But if you're so callous as to not even consider adjusting yourself to use shift+ctrl+c instead of ctrl+c, well then I really don't know what yo tell you.

What linux commands do you keep forgetting/wish there was a simple alias for?
Maybe give xxh a try?

Hosting your bash scripts to be accessible from anywhere
There is also this other thing but the zsh or ohmyzsh plugin didn't work because I was using it on macOS which doesn't have XDG directories predefined and it also requires sshpass to carry over the files (when using password to ssh) because it probably uses other methods to carry over your files, didn't look into it: https://github.com/xxh/xxh
