Integrate Dropbox API with React: A Comprehensive Guide
We need to create a Dropbox app through the Dropbox Developer Portal. Here’s how:
-
Is there a way to detect when server side node modules are included in browser code?
It was the dropbox sdk https://github.com/dropbox/dropbox-sdk-js/issues/614. When I remove the import the bundle size reduces a lot.

Cache Your CORS
No, I left Dropbox 5 years ago.
But it might be easy to add? https://github.com/dropbox/dropbox-sdk-js/blob/main/src/drop...
Make sure to always set the URL parameter "reject_cors_preflight=true", which will make sure you're not inadvertently triggering pre-flight requests.

Automating for dropbox
That said there are a number of automation tools out there. Make.com, Zapier, IFTTT, all have dropbox integrations. Dropbox also has an API that can be used to script your own solution https://www.dropbox.com/developers

Implementing 429 retries and throttling for API rate-limits
Many language-specific SDKs and clients, even from major API providers, don't come with built-in rate-limit handling. For example, Dropbox's node client does not implement throttling.

Some questions about events and promises
I don't understand. Sure you could spawn a ton of processes, but things might be bogged down. There are utilities out there for doing work queues.... so only N workers are running at any one time. The async library has some utilities for that. https://github.com/caolan/async

Caolan Asyncjs vs Async/Await: Which One to Use for Async Operations in NodeJS
The documentation of asyncjs is quite straightforward and easy to read. As we've only seen a couple of use cases in this article, I'd recommend to go the asyncjs documentation and check out other possibilities with the library. You can also try to replicate the same using async/await to solidify your understanding of where the library might still make sense.
