Tip for Linux users: How to integrate OpenMW with a Steam installation of Morrowind
the way to get Steam to use OpenMW and other available open source engines is to set up luxtorpeda
-
Where does Luxtorpeda install OpenMW?
I did find the install finally, but that's a good idea. Luxtorpeda is kind of an alternative to getting several Steam games running using native Linux engines, I think via Docker: https://github.com/dreamer/luxtorpeda

Resident Evil And Linux don't play well together
For RE2R it's probably a video codec issue. Installing this in the game's wineprefix should get it running with wine. I recommend the DX11 version.

Darksiders fmv fix from protondb safe to run?
Set the game to use Proton 6.3-8 Run game once to create compatdata/462780/pfx (If this already exists, delete it first to ensure its a new copy) Get mf-install (e.g. https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab/archive/master.zip) and decompress it. Edit the install-mf-64.sh file to replace all references of python2 to just python Disable SteamOS's read only mode on the file system from the Konsole (sudo steamos-readonly disable) If you haven't set the password for the root, do it first to set the root password: passwd Setup pacman to install cabextract by running the following two commands in the Konsole sudo pacman-key --init sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux Install cabextract via pacman in the Konsole (sudo pacman -S cabextract) Run command in mf-install directory: PROTON=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ 6.3 WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/462780/pfx ./install-mf-64.sh -proton Get Lutris mfplat.dll (e.g. https://lutris.net/files/tools/dll/mfplat/x32/mfplat.dll) and move it to game directory common/Darksiders Warmastered Edition. Run game and watch videos.

Did steam just build the best portable emulator we've ever seen?
For media foundation some games you still need to apply a manual fix . Use the master version and follow the instructions and games with cutscene issues should work https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab. I had to do this to get fallen order to work through lutris.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood is not working
I tried running it by wine-staging 6.4, wine-staging 5.20, Proton 5.0, Proton 5.13, and Proton-6.1-GE-2, but the game gives me a black screen before the first custscene. I tried this workaround >> https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-installcab and this workaround >> https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install but none of them worked. Any ideas?
