Can you tell the people in charge of Luxtorpeda about this? That'd be really helpful.

Tip for Linux users: How to integrate OpenMW with a Steam installation of Morrowind
the way to get Steam to use OpenMW and other available open source engines is to set up luxtorpeda
-
Where does Luxtorpeda install OpenMW?
I did find the install finally, but that's a good idea. Luxtorpeda is kind of an alternative to getting several Steam games running using native Linux engines, I think via Docker: https://github.com/dreamer/luxtorpeda

Things to setup on a new Steam Deck?
It also allows you to install Boxtron, Luxtorpeda, and Roberta for some old school games, and then choose them in the launch options for Steam just as if they were Proton versions.

Mixed Mode Media Mounting (Steam Deck/Arch Linux) DoxBox X
Boxtron is tool for automatically converting DOS games on Steam from using "old Windows version of DOSBox via Proton/Wine" to native Linux DOSBox - I specifically implemented there conversion of case sensitivity in .cue but also automatic rewriting of paths (because some game developers publish games on Steam without testing them at all). Right now it does not work unfortunately :( - when it'll be fixed I will post the update on this sub and /r/linux_gaming (and others as well probably).
-
Help please! How do I start DOSBox-X (or Staging) with a specific conf file in Steam on Linux/SteamOS?
Yeah, that's the annoyance of using flatpak unfortunately :( The version of Boxtron from flatpak store is designed to work with Steam installed via flatpak - which is not the case on SteamOS. I created a bug report for myself to fix it: https://github.com/dreamer/boxtron/issues/53 - you can follow the progress there.
- My haul from the Autumn sale. Not bad for under $40
- Does this guarantee a true offline experience with no further logins required for single player games though? Like switch, ps5, Xbox? The deck is a portable system, so if internet is still required then the offline update didn’t truly fix the main problem. Does anyone have any information on this?
