frozenkrill: a minimalist Bitcoin wallet focused on cold storage
In my script DoubleSlow Keystretcher I am handling the key stretching differently, I am using not only Argon2, but also Scrypt.

How to use Electrum on an air-gapped computer by transferring transaction data into the air-gapped computer by hand (with the keyboard or mouse only)
More time it takes to derive the seed (with doubleslow). It can be configured to run for hours.

Lastpass Security Incident Update: "The threat actor was also able to copy a backup of customer vault data"
This is why I wrote doubleslow.

I made an Electrum seed with a cat and it works!
The key stretching with the "seed extension" (also known as "extension word" and "passphrase") in the BIP39 specification is very weak (PBKDF2 using 2048 iterations of HMAC-SHA512), this is why I wrote Doubleslow Keystretcher.

What are some alternatives?
doublerandom - Randomness mixers, offline seed generator, BIP39 seed generator, random numbers in range algorithm, random words from a dictionary.
dicebip39 - DiceBIP39 - bitcoin BIP39 seed mnemonic diceware table - dice are used to randomly pick your seed words. DiceBIP39 makes sure all words have the same odds. Coldcard, SeedSigner, Blockstream Jade, and some other hardware signers calculates the last word for you. Casino dice should be used.
algorand_phrase_recovery - Python code to help an Algorand (ALGO) crypto wallet holder recover a private key phrase given limited typo or ordering issues when transcribing the words
Seedshift - Plausibly deniable steganographic encryption of BIP-39 mnemonic seed words with a date shift cipher
FinderOuter - Easy to use bitcoin recovery tool to fix damaged private key, mini-private key, address, BIP38 encrypted key, mnemonic (seed phrase), BIP-32 derivation path, Armory backups, recover passwords and more
python-mnemonic - :snake: Mnemonic code for generating deterministic keys, BIP39
btcrecover - BTCRecover is an open source wallet password and seed recovery tool. For seed based recovery, this is primarily useful in situations where you have lost/forgotten parts of your mnemonic, or have made an error transcribing it. (So you are either seeing an empty wallet or gettign an error that your seed is invalid) For wallet password or passphrase recovery, it is primarily useful if you have a reasonable idea about what your password might be.
