Have you looked at Docspell? It has an Android app. I ended up using paperless-ngx but considered Docspell too.

I don't know about their features but apart from Mayan and Paperless-NG there are also Docspell, Papermerge, Iodestone, Hermes and Teedy.

https://docspell.org/ less popular than paperless ngx and with less polished UI but better features for my use cases (folders, audio transcription, email imports )
