If you want to generate more complex pdf files I would suggest looking at django-tex and in general latex for pdf generation. You don't need to use django-tex, but it makes it clean.

This issue is about creation of a customized jinja tag to insert a specific markdown content header. With customized tag, the Python library jinja can have new functionality unique to your own project.
