Additional backend db support
They'll probably only ever officially support the most widely used RDBMSes (https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/3.1/ref/databases/), but there's nothing stopping you from writing your own db backend as an installable package i.e. https://github.com/maxirobaina/django-firebird
