Just got two powermac g3s off Facebook market place for free, they work fully. Should I upgrade them to OS X 10?
Sorry, that’s old, outdated news about the browsers. There’s the ‘new’ InterWebPPC (“Mozilla for Power Macintosh”). Nobody has an excuse for not being able to browse much of the web on OS X 10.4 or 10.5 PowerPC machines today.

The most usable browsers are TenFourFox (RIP), and InterWebPPC, which are both built on top of an older extended release version of Firefox.

As a G5/G4 user myself I recommend installing tenfourfox or interweb ppc on the machine and con netting it to the router or switch with Ethernet as you did. With older browsers some websites don’t work as intended so they spit out some errors. ten four fox interweb ppc P.s. here some advice if you’re using a power Mac not all apps you find work on YouTube there are awesome communities that deal with retro machines and it could be entertaining and interesting follow they’re steps. this one in particular on YouTube is veri interesting and it explains awesome things on old computers and g5s.
