Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

- Today I saw these "pixelated" shadows from trees. Are we in Matrix after all?

Optical simulation showing in detail the coherent light wavefront reconstruction of a customized diffraction pattern from a 2021 shaped hologram
The method applied for this problem is described in this paper, and implemented in my diffraction simulator on Github

By popular demand, STL in comments!
Wow, I actually made something really similar as an anniversary present for my wife - not inspired by JWST, but by this project. It ended up looking like the JWST completely on accident (just because it was the nicest way to get 18 hexagonal tiles together).

Mutli segment telescope mirror?
Wasnt sure if they where flat i kinda just got thinking about it after i saw this https://github.com/bencbartlett/3D-printed-mirror-array. Project and was wondering if it was possible maybe oneday i just give it a shot and grind a mirror

2021 BULGARIAN GENERAL ELECTION THUNDRDOME
The work he put into it is amazing, for anyone that understand that stuff, the Github has a great Readme and goes through it in great detail.

I designed a 3D printed mirror array to propose! The mirrors are angled so that just before sunset, they reflect the sunlight to spell “MARRY ME?”
If you want to know how this thing works or to design your own mirror arrays, I've open-sourced all the code I wrote for this project, along with a more technical writeup of how everything works: github.com/bencbartlett/3D-printed-mirror-array
