Running an ARM laptop using Ubuntu server? And another server witg GUI question.
Note: I have no experience with ARM servers (only some play using raspberry pi's) , but if it was me I'd likely explore desktopify if you're wanting a Ubuntu system (including flavors of Ubuntu)

How can I get an arm64 version of Lubuntu?
The easiest method however is just install using an existing system (eg. server), then run desktopify which was written/intended for raspberry pi's, but is pretty easy to adapt to other arm64 systems if you're not using a r.pi. but other arm64 system.

Manjaro on the RPI4 with full disk encryption and remote unlock
I tried Manjaro for 64 bit setup. Initially could not figure out how to force resolution of a 4K tv to HD, so changing resolution on Desktop would not scale well. Went with Ubuntu server and used desktopify. Had to research about how to avoid tv setting certain resolution at boot. May be I will give Manjaro another try. Not sure about Arch though. I have bluetooth mouse and keyboard, therefore only way to use any input is by enabling ssh at first boot.

Lubuntu DE not working on Raspberry Pi 400.
I'd suggest looking up the `desktopify` project created by Martin Wimpress. There is more than just loading `lubuntu-desktop` required for a Pi (at least for 20.10 & 20.04 as I recall; I've never looked at 21.04), and even if you don't use the desktopify script; it contains clues on doing it yourself anyway (for any of the Ubuntu flavors). https://github.com/wimpysworld/desktopify

Where to get the image of Ubuntu 20.04 desktop for raspberry pi
However, you can install the 20.04 server version and then run a script called desktopify to convert it.

Where can I download Ubuntu 20.04 focal desktop which I can flash onto an SD card and run on my RPi?
20.10 is the first Ubuntu release to officially support the desktop environment. If the server image doesn't suit your needs by itself, you could install 20.04 server and then use Wimpy's script Desktopify to add the desktop environment.

OpenVPN only routing Local IP's through VPN Server
Hey! I set up an OpenVPN Server on an Ubuntu Server VM inside ESXi 6.7 using this script: https://github.com/angristan/openvpn-install I need to access the local services running on the, e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx, which works just fine. But I dont want all my network traffic being routed through the VPN Server. So if i reach out to 192.168.xxx.xxx I get the Service running on this IP in the local network where the server is in, but if I try to reach e.g. google.com the request does not get routed through the VPN. How can I achieve this? OpenVPN-Host: Ubuntu Server 22.04.3 LTS | OpenVPN 2.5.5 Connecting Client: EndeavourOS | OpenVPN 2.6.6

Is it possible to Tie specific system usernames to certificates on a PAM auth setup?
EDIT: I should add that the setup was done with angristan's OpenVPN installer. There's nothing particularly interesting about the conf files.

Using OpenVPN instead of port forwarding to reach systems in my LAN - how hard is this?
Pretty trivial actually. I set up my server on a VPS with https://github.com/angristan/openvpn-install, it generates the configs that I deployed to my devices, and when connected they can see each other. For resolving the domain name you'd need to set up the DNS during the wizard.
