Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.

theres some third parties that give you an API directly I believe. Firefly III lists salt edge and nordigen.

Firefly III is missing plenty of features (see below). I started Firefly III with a single user (me) and everything else is a bonus.

GnuCash
You can easily import data into Firefly III using their data importer[0] and Nordigen API or Spectre (usage is explained in [0]). Doing so automatically is just a matter of running a cron job

Check out this : https://github.com/frappe/books - free desktop account software.
https://github.com/frappe/erpnext - free if you host yourself or $10+ if they host it on their server. ERP Software
Both are free. And they are pretty decent.
