I really don't understand why there isn't an open source clone of YNAB. There are a couple of projects that use the buckets savings method (e.g. https://www.budgetwithbuckets.com/) but they all have pretty terrible UI/UX and/or are missing basic essential features (e.g. an actual forecasted budget instead of simply offering transaction tracking).

Yes I did create an issue, but unfortunately it was closed because the it really has to do with a third party library and hard to fix: https://github.com/firefly-iii/firefly-iii/issues/6121
