Hi Everyone! I hope this does not cross to the advertising territory, if so, please let me know. I am in the business of doing CV's for folks and I realized that I hated CV builders. They are incompatible, limited, do not allow customization, also pretty costly. Thus, I wanna create a better version. Working with Latex templates is not the best, they are hard to understand, incompatible, is not tailored to actually work on this. I started designing a simple language serving as a back-end to CV's, something that captures the contents. I will write a compiler from this language to various Latex templates at first, then I also want to create custom a theme language, allowing anyone to design their own templates in a uniform fashion and publish them in open source. I wanted to get some initial feedback as I'm in the first phases of thinking and designing, so I can move further better. Any thoughts are welcome. I am leaving the github link for the project below.
