Do you take notes as a programmer ? And do you prefer paper notebook or notes app , and why ?
When writing digital notes, I've started using a program called Codex which was made specifically for taking coding notes. It's great since it allows you to easily enter highlighted code snippets and equations, and you can even find the source code on its GitHub page.
What are some alternatives?
hackmd - CodiMD - Realtime collaborative markdown notes on all platforms. [Moved to: https://github.com/hackmdio/codimd]
obsidian-releases - Community plugins list, theme list, and releases of Obsidian.
docable-notebooks - :ledger: Next-Generation Interactive Notebooks
notesnook - A fully open source & end-to-end encrypted note taking alternative to Evernote.
GitJournal - Mobile first Note Taking integrated with Git
logseq - A local-first, non-linear, outliner notebook for organizing and sharing your personal knowledge base. Use it to organize your todo list, to write your journals, or to record your unique life.
Notebook - Spiral-bound notebook containing notes on tech, confs, certs, etc.
refactory - A basic app for refactoring code
markright - Didactic literate programming
copycat-js - A JavaScript implementation of Douglas Hofstadter and Melanie Mitchell's Copycat program.
nb - CLI and local web plain text note‑taking, bookmarking, and archiving with linking, tagging, filtering, search, Git versioning & syncing, Pandoc conversion, + more, in a single portable script.
2MD - toMD is a little program created so people that handwrite their notes on any digital device can have those notes into their Obsidian vault. (Or any Note Manager that handles .md files)
