install sierra in Virtual machine on my iMac running Monterey
You’ll need to also download a Sierra installer and follow the instructions on this GitHub Repo to convert the Sierra Installer into a iso file.

Another script for creating macOS installer DMG or ISO disk images for virtualization
Although there's many other scripts and tutorials floating around the web that convert various macOS installer versions to ISO, I wrote yet another one that a) works on installers for Lion through Monterey, 2) produces reasonably sized disk images that work with VMware and VirtualBox, and iii) should be fairly understandable for people who aren't shell script experts, even if it's not as bulletproof as some other candidates:

Would it be possible to install Mavericks on a M1 (Mini or Macbook or whatever)?
What I did, is downloading a preconfigured file via this site: https://github.com/adespoton/utmconfigs/blob/main/README.md clicked on "Got to file" and selected the one for Mavericks (10.9). After installing it on UTM, you will see which steps you have to follow on the right side. Then I downloaded an ISO file and installed that one according to the earlier mentioned steps. Et voilà!

install sierra in Virtual machine on my iMac running Monterey
You’ll need to use UTM instead and import the Sierra config file from this GitHub repo.

Can I run an older version of Mac OS through an emulator?
Adespoton on GitHub made UTM config files to allow you to install a macOS VM on Intel Macs or AS Macs for older versions of macOS. Keep in mind a few things:
-
I used Open Core Legacy Patcher, and it worked so well I'm actually annoyed.
This and this were both fantastic starting points, and got me up and running if I remember correctly. The github repo with the prebuilt UTM config files is spectacular. For El Capitan I'm pretty sure I started with the prebuilt utm file and booted it with my own El Capitan installer ISO.

Is there a 68k or PowerPC emulator for new Macs with Apple Silicon?
There is a guy who makes basic machiene setups for utm you add the OS. Looks like the Mac99/screamer model can only go back to 9.04.and the quadra model doesn't work.

How do I run OS X 10.1 though UTM?
I've been trying to run MacOS X 10.1 though UTM, but I've been encountering various issues. I downloaded the .utm from https://github.com/adespoton/utmconfigs and the .iso from https://archive.org/details/mac-ox-x-10.1-internal-edition, but when I try to run them I get this error: qemu-ppc-softmmu: -drive if=none,media=disk,id=drive0,file=/Users/alessandrowda/Downloads/OS X 10.1 (config only).utm/Images/OS X 10.1.qcow2,discard=unmap,detect-zeroes=unmap: Could not open '/Users/alessandrowda/Downloads/OS X 10.1 (config only).utm/Images/OS X 10.1.qcow2': Operation not permitted.
