Further, see projects like ckb-next which reversed enough of the Corsair keyboards to write not just drivers, but GUI tools as well. From these and using wireshark they are able to capture the raw firmware images and how the device works. Then there is the everything Asahi Linux which is working on getting Apple M1(+) hardware working. Do you think Apple is providing ANY support to the Asahi project?

Gaming mouse software in kubuntu?
ckb-next is for Corsair devices, and mostly is for RGB, but does offer mouse button configuration. I use this one with my M65 Elite as it also configures DPI level settings and other items, as well as per-led lighting.
