  • Introducing contemporary-z, like 'z - jump around' (and children), but different.

Hi! I just wanted to share a simple program that I have been using for more than one year: contemporary-z. As I say in the title, it is similar to the classic z - jump around and its modern versions (its children), like zoxide, but at the same time very different. I created this program because I liked the general idea behind those programs, but I did not like how they worked. To me, the most useful functionality is to choose a directory among the most common directories. I know, zoxide allow that with fzf, but I do not like dependencies, and I do not like the selection process of fzf either. Also, none of those programs feature bookmarks or aliases, that I find extremely useful. That was the motivation to create my own version of z. Then, I continued adding some features that I find useful, like interactive directory navigation. Perhaps someone will agree with these ideas and find it practical too. Any feedback is welcome!
