Running Batch with Compute Engine Image, what's the url?
If you are referring to OS images and you have an image name, you can use it with Batch to create VMs from that image. Specifiy the image name inside bootDisk in the instancePolicy. The image name format is documented in "image" field doc of Disk.

Microsoft releases Linux version of the Windows Sysmon tool
Maybe Microsoft will end up doing the latter: given their other moves with trying to shoehorn their ideas into Linux, I wouldn't be surprised if they go that way. But as it stands now, this particular tool does nothing but add automation-hostile patterns (having to accept a EULA for install, yay!), unnecessary kernel modules, and obnoxious log data to a given box.
