Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.
compactyl
-
First time building one. 3D printed ergonomic keyboard.
As they said, not by dometyl, rather Derek's separate plate Compactyl.
-
I designed and built a super-ergonomic trackball-enabled Dactyl Manuform with a crazy mouse level shift mechanism (w/ complete build guide)
This keyboard is an attempt to make a best-of-both-worlds combination between the modular (and support-saving) design of dereknheiley's compactyl manuform (with adjustable wrist rest mounts) and the trackball-enabled design of the noahprince22's tracktyl manuform, forking the firmware from Schievel1's dactyl_manuform_r_track.
- Jump in the Deep end or steps.
- Evolution of compactyl (dactyl manuform tight) thumb cluster

Compactyl 5.0
A couple of minor changes i might make for 5.1, but STLs available at https://github.com/dereknheiley/compactyl if you'd like to build it asap.
-
Chordic Keyboard Layout – For the 42-Key Corne/crkbd
The spacing depends a lot of the configuration, for example some iterations of Derek's compactyl made for SA caps have had very close edge to edge key spacing. Also centre to centre key spacing on key wells is easy to get tighter than Choc spacing, so even if you've configured with a little more gap for whatever your keycaps are compared to mbk, a press between them is going to be less off-centre than it would be for chocs (which also perform worse with off centre presses than mx).
-
current build might be a little bit of an odd duck in terms of colours
The v4 STLs should be in the repo, that's what's pictured above. I rarely go back and change old STLs unless there's a glaring issue. https://github.com/dereknheiley/compactyl/tree/master/things/compactyl-v4.0-5x6-hotswap

Remove bottom row from Dactyl Manuform?
I've modified dereks compactyl to remove the last row and get a regular 3x5, but I'm assuming you'll want to have the DM thumb cluster with 5 buttons rather than the compactyl one with 3, right?
-
Favorite Designs with Built-in/Attached Palmrests?
Dereks compactyl repo also provides an adjustable way to position crystalhands palm rest.
-
Any manuforms with builtin hand rests like kinesis advantage
additionally there are several on github, mine is like https://github.com/dereknheiley/dactyl-manuform-tight but there are at least three others i can’t find from my phone

QMK and Keyboards
But I've been building keebs for a few years now, and I gotta cut back :-P The biggest issue is it takes forever to print a shell to 'test fit' it. It would actually be cool if you could print the shells upside down so you don't have to print the whole thing to see how it feels.
Oh! looks like there's a OpenSCAD parametric dactyl now (1) I think this was the clojure one I was playing with before: (2)

- Are there any choc dactyl manuform keyboards that I can print myself?

In progress hot-swap 7x5, thoughts for colour
Carbonfet's version of the dactyl manuform with custom thumb cluster and 1.5u outer keys.

second Dactyl build for work done
Thanks! Total print time was about 30 hours (much support material). There are not many modifications: its a Dactyl Manuform Mini based on l4u's repo. I only changed the design to fit the USB-C Pro Micros and TRRS-jacks that I bought and added a holder for a reset button.
-
First build :D
I've used l4u's repo as base and changed the design to fit the USB-C Pro Micros and TRRS-jacks that I bought. The wiring is quite messy but for my first try I'm very happy.
- low profile MX dactyl variant?
-
Just finished my new dactyl manuform
You should also look at the dactyl manuform mini. It's the repository my keyboard is based on as well and you will find all instructions on how to generate the casing in the README. It is really quite easy and It should be trivial to add an extra row.

corne manuform hybrid?
Checkout the forks at https://github.com/l4u/dactyl-manuform-mini-keyboard . Probably compactyl or tightyl

Beginning the project
Carbonfet’s version is one of my favorite. Another interesting version is Derek’s compactyl. There is also a list of other forks at my version https://github.com/l4u/dactyl-manuform-mini-keyboard
