Contribute to a Collection
It seems the community.windows collection doesnt currently accept new modules, so I guess you should just publish your own collection https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.windows

win_domain_group_membership taking longtime to add members to AD group
Unfortunately there's not much else you can do really. The time taken is due to the code that's being run and how Windows/PowerShell is sending the info. It taking hours sounds really wrong though it might be worthwhile looking through the code https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.windows/blob/main/plugins/modules/win_domain_group_membership.ps1 to see what it's running and see if you can replicate that manually through an interactive PowerShell prompt.

Can't add object to AD
I just installed the community.windows collection, and try to use it to add objects into the AD. Here is my playbook:
-
Install collection offline return error: ERROR! Unknown error when attempting to call Galaxy at 'https://galaxy.ansible.com/api/api': <urlopen error [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:852)>
https://github.com/ansible-collections/community.windows/blob/main/galaxy.yml Line 14, has this been installed?

Boxstarter
Boxstarter automates the installation of software to create repeatable, scripted Windows environments. Builds on Chocolatey to create an optimized way to install a complete environment on a fresh OS install. RjBass3 uses it "to install a plethora of basic apps and software like Adobe Reader, various browsers, dotnet etc.. And the ability to keep them updated, so I'm not always getting calls about 'is this notification for an update safe?'… saves so much time and effort."
