Hello I'm a 2d artist and I would like to start animating my works
i do this with some of my art using Blender. I first have my original artwork with layers in Krita (you can export whatever program you draw in into a .psd and import that into krita for layers) and then use a plug-in called COA tools to export the layers into sprites that I can animate in Blender. If you don’t want to pay for After Effects, this method can be done completely free using only these open source tools. There are not a lot of tutorials on this method though because most artists use AE or other paid software to do looped animations of their artwork.

I need help on making a sprite sheet
Look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqHuppdbctc and generally check out their channel. There is also this plugin: https://github.com/Falano/kritaSpritesheetManager but you'd need to know how to make sprites in general first.

Exporting to .xml or converting
You will probably need to write a plugin for that, or write the XML yourself (yikes) or use another program, as krita doesn't have this function out of the box, as far as i know. There is a krita plugin to export animations as a spritesheet, but it doesn't create a XML file with the contents. https://github.com/Falano/kritaSpritesheetManager
