3DS emulation on Mac M2?
oh shoot, didn't realize that was for intel mac only. Yeah, someone built a m1 mac version, but it's not working properly (no audio, crashes)

Is there a 3DS Emulator other than Citra for M1
Citra wouldn't give you a virus unless you downloaded it from the wrong link. Either the get the pre-built M1 build here: https://github.com/SuperOkazaki/citra-Apple-Silicon-Build/releases or build it yourself here: https://community.citra-emu.org/t/citra-macos-m1-arm64-build/347604/28

Any 3DS emulators on the 2020 MacBook Air that work decently?
You can grab the pre-built ARM version of Citra here: https://github.com/SuperOkazaki/citra-Apple-Silicon-Build/releases or go build it yourself here (building it yourself will also give you builds of the newer commits as the prebuilt one is pretty outdated): https://community.citra-emu.org/t/citra-macos-m1-arm64-build/347604/28

Pokemon XY route 6 bug
You can try building the arm version yourself, using instructions on https://citra-emu.org/wiki/building-for-macos/, there was a reddit post with much more detailed instructions, but I cant seem to find it. there is an unofficial version but it is quite old, so YMMV https://github.com/SuperOkazaki/citra-Apple-Silicon-Build/releases

Pokémon X using Citra for Native M1
Hi, I tried playing Pokemon X using the Native M1 Citra Port from (https://github.com/SuperOkazaki/citra-Apple-Silicon-Build/releases) but every time I select the language the ROM and Citra both just crash, and don't open again. Is this an issue with the Native Port or with Citra on M1 in general (with or without Rosseta).

Help, so i saw on a video that to make amiibo work on citra you have to put .bin amiibo files in the amiibo folder in citra-emu folder but it isn't there
After some more research, I discovered that the Citra devs discovered and fixed this issue by allowing the Back button to open the in-emulation menu. This fix was added on Jan 22 2023. When I checked the version of Citra available on the Google Play Store on my phone, it was a very old version from May 2021, which is strange because viewing the same Play Store page on my computer shows it was updated in April 2023... maybe your Play Store version is also outdated? If so, the only solution I can think of would be to install the apk from the Citra Nightly github repo.

not able to load states after updating
if it's a savestate, try loading it in the version you were on when it was working (download from here for canary or here for nightly). if that works, make an ingame save, then re-update Citra
