Managing binary package repositories
Furthermore, repod is based on sound technical ideas, while Chaotic AUR (toolbox) is based on a AUR helper with a known history of data loss and runs arbitrary code as root with SUID helpers. Definitely not something you'd ever want to run on a personal machine.

Clyde - the AUR helper in Bash
I think I will try it. For a while now I've been using another just bash AUR helper called baur but what I don't like is that when I ask to update it makes a list of all packages each time while yours is much more concise No packages to update. Wonderful.
