At one point, he added the "Wikipedia of the alt right" to the list of Brave's search engines. Reason: unknown.

However, since moving to the new repository in 2017 the described file and functionality seems to be gone, I searched for this in the new repo and even for terms such as "whitelist" and "allowlist" and I cannot find anything.

This issue is tracked by Brave here and here. It looks like it's a low priority, but ScriptSafe might help; "prevent system fonts from being enumerated through elements."

It invented most of it, in the last 10 years it owned widevine.

So yeah, you can fork chromium and make your own nifty browser. But do not expect being able to play any video from any paid streaming service any time soon or ever.

Please report bugs directly to the Firefox Focus developers.

Since you use Firefox Focus, please report this to its developers. Maybe they can do something about it.

The only Mozilla-backed browser that doesn't have trackers or telemetry enabled by default is Klar (Play Store, Github) because they have to comply with Germany's, Austria's and Switzerland's laws.

I filed https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/issues/6888 for this. Feel free to chime in over there if you want to add a "me too" to the comments.

Found an old one, and it looks like they are waiting for Android multitasking features to be implemented.

Focus uses a blacklist of known trackers.

It seems that Fenix will support HTTPS only mode in very near future. At least, HTTPS only mode for Firefox Focus is actively developing. https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/focus-android/pull/5988
