Bower
A package manager for the web (by bower)
JHipster
JHipster, much like Spring initializr, is a generator to create a boilerplate backend application, but also with an integrated front end implementation in React, Vue or Angular.
In their own words, it "Is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, & deploy modern web applications & microservice architectures." (by jhipster)

The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

5 NPM Alternatives You Should Try
Bower is a package manager specifically designed for front-end web development. It can be used to manage JavaScript, CSS, and HTML packages and dependencies. It was developed by Twitter and is known for its simplicity and ease of use. However, it is worth noting that Bower is no longer actively maintained, and developers are encouraged to use other package managers like Yarn or PNPM instead.

The Emperor's New Library
What we see, a decade ago, are that many of the "popular" libraries, frameworks, and methods, not surprisingly, have gone by the wayside, a lot that have remained in current code as difficult-to-removemodernize legacy cruft (Bower, Gulp, Grunt, Backbone, Angular 1, ...), and then we have the small minority that are still here. Some that remain have had their utility lessened/questioned by platform and language improvements (jQuery, lodash, ...), but very, very few exist that are the same now as they were then. Another fun historical reference: issue #118 of "JavaScript Weekly" (February 22, 2013) includes a first link out to asm.js.

Assets #2 - installation
In this way, all the packages that we add in the require section of composer.json, will be installed in the ./node_modulesdirectory, and their download will be managed by asset-packagist, to see the available packages, you can search for both bower and npm packages.

Java Microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
An easy way to get a pre-configured Keycloak instance is to use JHipster's jhipster-sample-app-oauth2 application. It gets updated with every JHipster release. You can clone it with the following command:

Are there any recommended libraries to make Spring Boot development even faster / easier?
What you maybe asking for is something like vaadin or jhipster which marries the front with the backend. (I don't like them tbh but it worth mentioning)

Looking for a ready-to-extend-and-deploy OpenID + Spring REST solution.
You can try this stack https://www.jhipster.tech with generator for mobile app https://github.com/jhipster/generator-jhipster-ionic.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing Bower and JHipster you can also consider the following projects:
pnpm - Fast, disk space efficient package manager
Lombok - Very spicy additions to the Java programming language.
yarn - The 1.x line is frozen - features and bugfixes now happen on https://github.com/yarnpkg/berry
jhipster-lite - JHipster Lite ⚡ is a development platform to generate, develop & deploy modern web applications & microservices architecture, step by step - using Hexagonal Architecture :gem:
