The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Math is important for programming they said. it isn't.
Hey, I wrote a proof as part of my job.

bitpacker - type safe and low-boilerplate bit level serialization using modern C++. Compatible with python bitstruct.
I have a much more elaborate project to solve the same problem (and some other problems), but this is a neat take in that it is a single (header-only?) library.

A tale of two libcs
(I had to do a lot of careful reading of the C and C++ specs when I built a tool to handle byte representation <-> logical value translations, so this is one of my bugbears.)
