Have you looked into Binance's API? I suggest Binance because (a) they're the biggest exchange by volumes of transactions, so their data is quite reliable (b) their public API has very little restriction (I'm not sure how it compares with CoinGecko's though).

I use my own trading bot on Binance API and the API require to sign each call, ans this is done by using api and secret key. You can find more info here : https://github.com/binance/binance-spot-api-docs/blob/master/rest-api.md

I'm working on implementing a simple WebSocket client for the binance websocket streaming API, which is a rather simple API requiring no authentication or protocol overhead once connected. However when I use the java.net.http.WebSocket implementation I fail to receive inbound message notifications to my WebSocket.Listener. I have already verified the API works as expected using the 2 other reference implementations below (one cli and one javascript). I am using OpenJDK version 11.0.11+9

I'm in the same boat as you. High school, looking into CS major. Try Binance WebSockets to pull data. If you want to actually send orders, you need an account, but WebSockets don't require any registration. Refer to the 'kline' in the documentation. Then obviously just create a money variable in python and you can do the rest, good luck! Ps: I have found this video really useful. You can skip the giving order part.

I have taken all precautions with this account because in 2019 another account that also belonged to me was a victim of BTC theft. I was also advised of a problem possibly related to APIs, however I have only created an API for a bot made in Python which I created myself using these libraries (https://github.com/binance/binance-spot-api-docs <----- which belongs to you), however this API was discontinued more than 3 months ago after my experiment (The API had my IP address only for withdrawals), if the theft was somehow done by here then Binance has a big security breach problem.

CCXT

I would sincerely advise you to use a ready to use python library for this like https://github.com/ccxt/ccxt

Consider using https://github.com/ccxt/ccxt for crypto exchange interaction, which of course will support Binance too

Check out https://github.com/hummingbot/hummingbot (disclosure: my project). We just added a Binance candles feature where you can construct custom OHLCV candles and TA indicators. You should also check out https://github.com/ccxt/ccxt which has broader exchange support but less order book data management than Hummingbot.

Or if you stick to JavaScript and willing to learn the programming part, then https://github.com/ccxt/ccxt (which is now merged with CCXT Pro but still for free).

Ccxt works great for me and it's free and open-source. You can connect and execute on multiple exchanges. It works with Javascript, Python and PHP.

Essentially, to create an automated trading system using TradingView strategies, you would need to acquire the signal using webhooks. Once you acquire the signal, you can use whatever data send with it to manage orders, using the API of your broker. Usually, there are SDKs available to make this process easier. For crypto, one of the most well known SDKs is called CCXT. There are also some made for traditional brokers too. It is a simple process but it does take some experience with programming systems to set up.
