big-sur-micropatcher VS macadmin-scripts

I might have pushed my 2010 MacBook a bit too far. Back in 2020 I installed DosDude1's Catalina patcher on my 2010 Unibody MacBook and it worked great! Then, I learned of [this](https://github.com/barrykn/big-sur-micropatcher) new patcher tool that would enable my 2010 MacBook to run Big Sur, albeit slowly. Ever since then I've noticed some odd quirks about my machine. To clarify, it is still working, just not 100%.

Also you could check out the micropatcher , I used it before switching to patched Sur and it worked for me.

I’m running Big Sur on mine. It was a pretty simple process. I used this.

Thanks for getting back to me. I created the usb using themicropatcher via another Mac as I previously used the usb to create the patch for Monterey. Should I try recreating the usb with patches Sur?

FWIW, I just remembered that https://github.com/grahampugh/macadmin-scripts can download High Sierra as well. Maybe that helps.

If your old MBP doesn't have the softwareupdate command available (I don't remember when Apple added it), you can try something like Graham Pugh's installinstallmacos.py script, from Github: https://github.com/grahampugh/macadmin-scripts

Download installinstallmacos.py from github, this is Graham Pugh's version that allows more automation by choosing the version for you.

I used https://github.com/grahampugh/macadmin-scripts to download Big Sur and https://github.com/barrykn/big-sur-micropatcher to patch it. 2012 Mac Mini should work with graphics acceleration, but the 2010 won't, so it'll be pretty sluggish on the MBP.
