Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Feature comparison of ack, ag, Git-grep, grep and ripgrep
The "print lines by number" was there because earlier versions of ack had a `--line=N` feature, where you could say "ack --line=15-18" and print those four lines. I dropped it because it was hardly any better than using sed.

Best solution for virtual Linux desktops with gui
So I havn't tried it yet but it seems that github.com/UPC/ravada is a fairly mature solution.
- Free Desktop Virtualization Solutions (preferably open-source) that work well like Amazon Workspaces or VMware Workstation. Any suggestions?
