b-parasite VS Android-DFU-Library

I'd like to be able to design my own PCB (that would include a custom Capactitive Soil Moisture Sensor) with all the other hardware built in, somewhat like the b-parasite. But that's pretty far down the line.

Im working on a soil moisture sensor that I plan to fully bury into potting/etc soil, and the sensor itself wont be moved/abraded/etc like a typical piece of outdoor furniture but the ground/water environment is obviously not conducive to finish longevity.

Have you seen b-parasite? There is a sample that uses zigbee, and somewhere in the issues someone had used an NRF528x chip that had an attachable antennae, which may help your BLE connection issues.

Im working on modifying a project for a capacitive soil moisture sensor, and im wondering how to perhaps increase the capacitive effect/range of capacitive values/sensitivity. What factors would be used to increase the capacitive effect? more loops? thicker loop? lots of parallel traces back and forth in lieu of the loop?

We love Nordic Semiconductor, we have used their Bluetooth SoC’s in several of our client’s projects. Their toolchain is easy to work with, their example code is invaluable, and their support is some of the best in the industry. Not to mention they are one of the most popular brands of Bluetooth radios.

I am following this company closely, and I find it rather curious how little expectation or knowledge there is about it, considering the medium to long term expansion they have planned. For those who doesn't know, Nordic Semiconductor (NDCVF, NOD - Current Share price: $33) is a Norwegian semiconductor company specialised in wireless technology for IoT (Bluetooth and now Wi-Fi).

So far we've managed to connect via bluetooth (no pairing) through a ble framework for ble devices in unity, however this framework does not manage pairing and flashing. Pairing is a great to have but flashing is a must have, all over bluetooth. We've been looking into the Dfu library as well as the partial flashing library from microbit.
