Why doesn't AWIPS support IPV6 yet?
It's probably this bug, which apparently nobody is interested in investigating, but they did take the time to add a page to the install instructions telling people to disable IPv6 if they hit it...

Custom OSM maps on the fenix
For my purposes I wanted an extremely stripped down style file. You can see other examples of styles here: https://github.com/8cH9azbsFifZ/garmin-opentopo/tree/master/lib/fzk-mde-garmin-develop/Freizeitkarte-Entwicklung/style (in the example above you would have a folder called your_style instead of fzk). I'm not sure how the file naming works, but for my purposes I have a info, lines, options, points, polygons, and relations file (no file extensions). The points and relations files are completely blank, since I don't care about routing or landmarks. My style will render easy runs green (line type 0x01) intermediate as blue (line type 0x02), etc. Anything that is a night run will have a yellow line rendered behind it, and the chair lifts are rendered in red. Look at the TYP file to see how I made 0x01 a green line.
