Feel very hard writing nextflow pipeline.
Hello, I am writing nextflow pipeline after reading nextflow docs and some examples. But I am struggling because nextflow could do some basic scripting, but lacks instructions. For example: How to wrap long strings? params.steps = "xxxx..." If "xxxx..." is very very long, and if I am writing python, I can write "xxxx..." in two lines like: params.steps = "xxxx..." \ "xxxx..."
- so, lets talk about the GNU make vs nextflow / snakemake...

so, lets talk about the GNU make vs nextflow / snakemake...
I say that as somebody who (in my very un-humble opinion) is highly proficient at using make, and with a vast experience writing NGS pipelines using make: I did it all through my PhD and postdoc, and I also used the GNU make-based iRAP pipeline which was developed by a colleague (and for which I provided extensive testing and feedback).
