Open-TV: Ultra-fast, simple and powerful cross-platform IPTV app
That list seems to have been cleaned up last year, this is the previous version that contains more providers: https://github.com/iptv-org/awesome-iptv/pull/169/files
I personally prefer using legal IPTV providers (e.g. https://polbox.tv/en/ for Polish TV, https://ibox.ie for UK and Irish, etc), though having to use VPNs for the content I already paid for is getting annoying.

DMCA Takedown of iptv-org/iptv on GitHub
> the 10-day counterclaim response window is required by law.
Punitive towards individuals and small businesses.
From what I can see, it seems to be a curated list of IPTV sources [1]
Which puts it in search engine activity territory.
I'm reminded that Github stood up to the UK's City of London Police who issued a DMCA for the PirateBay Proxy on GitHub. [2]
However Law can be used to resource burn entities where no compensation for failed legal attempts exist as the City of London Police demonstrated with their actions.

Best Free TV Links?
Kodi is free. It is what I use, but whether it's the best or not anymore I can't really say. (I set it up for iptv several years ago and still use it, but if you ask around in the subreddit some of these fine folks here may have a better/newer suggestion.) https://github.com/iptv-org/awesome-iptv has a list of apps that will work on all platforms. Once it's set up initally, it's just a matter of opening the app, no messing around required unless you're like me and like to tinker with settings lol!

Sky Wins Irish Court Order to Unmask 300 Pirate IPTV Users via Revolut Bank
honestly if you pay to pirate, you kinda deserve it (same with the Plex guys), I have so many IPTV streams available for free, there is no time to watch them all, I can watch F1 from like 3-4 different streams, same with MotoGP, I had olympics from like 10 different TV channels including Spanish (Teledeporte), Hungarian (M4 Sport), Serbian, Croatian, Lithuanian, Chinese, Czech, Slovak, German and dunno what else, you just need to know where to look [1]

this is probably good start for amateurs (you can watch them in VLC through CTRL+N or just install on Android TV some viewer like OTT Navigator)

How We Built a Free Live TV Streaming Platform with Next.js and 5,000+ Channels
The channel data comes from the amazing iptv-org/iptv community project. We process their M3U playlists to categorize channels by country, language, and category, validate stream URLs, generate static pages at build time, and create a comprehensive sitemap with 4,400+ URLs.

Aisuru Botnet Shifts from DDoS to Residential Proxies
Well didn't lookup Super Box but I assume it's less sketchy than you image.
It probably just pulls from something like https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv and so the provider of Super Box doesn't have to maintain pretty much anything or use any of their own bandwidth. So the $300 minus the cost of the hardware is the profit and they don't have real reoccurring costs.
